Brenda Schamy is a founding partner at DiSchino & Schamy, PLLC. Brenda approaches the challenges faced by her clients with an insider’s view. Brenda, an active entrepreneur, has been a business owner for many years, owning businesses in the fitness, music, and travel industries. Due to her extensive entrepreneurial experience, Brenda understands the different issues and challenges that businesses and entrepreneurs face. In addition, prior to founding the firm, Brenda developed a strong litigation and trial practice as a Miami Dade Public Defender. Years of hands-on experience in the courtroom allows Brenda to anticipate litigation issues that aid in drafting comprehensive agreements and litigating or preventing litigation when possible. Brenda strives to provide counsel in a holistic way that analyzes not only legal issues but business, social, marketing and finance considerations as well.

Brenda concentrates her practice in the areas of entertainment (music/tv/film and digital media), hospitality, branding, fashion, new business formation, in-bound foreign investment, business law and civil litigation related to those practice areas. As a pioneer within the practice of entertainment law, Brenda has also developed a unique and robust practice related to social media law and the representation of celebrity influencers and brands. She skillfully uses effective negotiation tactics and creative solutions to further her clients’ interests. In addition, Brenda has represented clients in a vast array of business disputes including representing investors in multimillion-dollar litigation, and enforcing clients’ trademarks and copyrights through state and federal litigation focused on preventing the unauthorized sale of goods and services.

She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami. Her passion for travel has allowed Brenda to develop an extensive client base from across the United States and around the world. Brenda strives to not be confined by the traditional notions of what it means to be a lawyer, she aims to serve her clients as a deal maker, connector, resource, springboard, soundboard, voice of reason, hype man or ally. Connecting people and businesses and developing effective business strategies is where Brenda thrives. Born in Argentina, Brenda is fluent in Spanish and English.
